Hybrid Control Corporation working with the public sector to improve lives.
The Back to School Programme was established by The Honourable Mayor, Cllr MG Mhlongo, Mayor of City of Umhlathuze. The Back to School Programme was targeting 2000 poor learners from the 34 wards within the City. It focused on providing support such as school uniforms, shoes, bags, sanitary towels and basic cosmetics to poor and vulnerable learners.
To this end, the Honourable Mayor had commended Hybrid Control Corporation’s participation in this important programme. This programme bring back hope of a brighter future to the learners from disadvantage background irrespective of their social circumstances. Hybrid Control Corporation always get involved in community initiatives to boost the lives of youth and small business within the areas that we work at.
Some of the initiatives include the following:
- Ablution facilities for rural schools
Hybrid Control Corporation was responding to the call to reduce to eradicate pit toilets at schools. This is an on-going initiative that we conduct as part of giving back to communities where we work. We believe that addressing such social issues requires the private sector to also play their part.
- Mentoring small companies and youth
We work towards building capacity and skills not only within our organisation but also to the communities that we work. We achieve this by sub-contracting portion of works to local emerging companies and providing training and learning opportunities to youth.
